Which decade was the best for music? Empty Which decade was the best for music?

I've heard people say that the 70s and 80s were the best decades for popular music. Obviously each decade has its own characteristics and it's very subjective, but in your opinion which decade was the best?

I enjoyed the 90s a lot. The mainstream music was still very pleasant, a lot of decent rock. Gets me very nostalgic. Notable mention for the electro movement from the 80s, really really nice and creative tunes.

Even crap like "Spice Girls" seemed slightly more fun than today's total debauchery.
